Since a photography workshop in Paris, France in 2015, Roselle McConnell has been walking the streets with camera in hand motivated by a desire to capture “the decisive moment”. Roselle specializes in architectural and street photography and lives in Newport, Rhode Island.
McConnell holds a B.S. in Mass Communication, a M.S. in Business Management, and is a 2017 graduate of the Photography Certification Program at the Rhode Island School of Design. Her photographic essay “In His Shoes” was exhibited at the Griffin Museum of Photography, in Winchester, MA from Feb. 20 – March 26, 2021. She attended The New England School of Photography where her work was selected for the annual juried exhibit This American Landscape in May 2018 at the Garner Center for Photographic Exhibitions. Two exhibits at the Praxis Gallery, in Minneapolis, MN include a group exhibit in February 2021 and an internationally juried exhibit The Found Object in April 2021.
McConnell is a current contributing photographer in the upcoming book “America’s Eden: Landscapes Through The Ages” in partnership with the Newport Tree Conservancy in Newport, Rhode Island. As a mother of two and previous owner of an interior design business for 10 years, art and design greatly influence Roselle’s portfolio, as do various travels to Iceland, London, Tokyo, Scotland, Hong Kong, Thailand, California and Greece. Her collection of architectural, street and travel photography can be found on her Instagram feeds:
